Artist's Comments
The is the second icon we did as a class, of the Archangel Gabriel.
9 1/2" by 11", egg tempera and 24k gold leaf on a gessoed wooden board. you can plainly see that the icon of the archangel gabriel is a mirror image of the archangel michael. the differences are seen in the colors of the robes and the decoration on top of the staff. this one also took 50 hours to complete. i am currently working on finishing two more. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
